About the role

Responsible for managing the company’s off premise sales teams on the key programs to be executed with customer accounts on a monthly basis.  Also responsible for developing profitable sales initiatives with the company’s suppliers, customers and sales team that will result in annual sales volume increases that are consistent with the agreed upon sales goals.  Responsible for managing supplier relationships alongside Brand Directors for programming, pricing, etc.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO

  • Responsible for communicating and executing all sales plans to the appropriate Territory Managers
  • Manage, train, motivate and effectively interact with Territory Managers to aid in the development of sales territories
  • Meet with suppliers to design, implement, review, analyze and track key sales goals and initiatives
  • Evaluate the profitability of the company’s supplier portfolios, key brands, as well as each marketing plan to ensure proper sales margins, projections on key brands and budgets are maintained
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining a professional work environment with the company’s suppliers, Sales Representatives and customers
  • Maintain relationships with key customer accounts
  • Create monthly sales tools, deal books, pitch books and highlight sheets to use in the field and aid in selling key programs
  • Identify opportunities by understanding the market and the customer within the market
  • Communicate inventory needs and other similar issues to Brand Directors
  • Conduct bimonthly sales meetings, kick off meetings and mid-month meetings with management and sales teams
  • Prioritize, plan and implement programs by distribution channel of new product introductions
  • Conduct surveys with our suppliers as needed
  • Adhere to federal, state and company regulations that govern our industry
  • Resolves employee relation issues such as employee complaints, harassment and discrimination and elevates to the attention of management as necessary
  • Responsible for strategic guidance, professional development and performance of direct reports
  • Communicates with all levels of sales management across the organization
  • May be required to flex hours to support all areas of the business
  • May be required to travel to other locations as needed
  • Additional duties as assigned by management

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, related field or equivalent experience required
  • Experience of five (5) to seven (7) years industry experience required
  • Experience of two (2) years management experience required
  • Experience in a distribution and/or sales environment preferred
  • Valid driver license, insurance and satisfactory driving record required
