Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Back-End Developer role . The Back-End Developer will design, implement, and maintain server-side logic, APIs, and databases that support web and mobile applications. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean, efficient, and secure code, optimizing application performance, and troubleshooting issues across development, staging, and production environments. The role involves collaborating with front-end developers, product managers, and QA engineers to define technical requirements, integrate services, and ensure reliable deployments. The Back-End Developer will also participate in code reviews, contribute to architecture decisions, document technical solutions, and support continuous improvement of development workflows and infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Computer Science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and software architecture.
- Proficiency in Back-End Web Development and Software Development, with experience building and maintaining APIs and server-side services.
- Solid Programming skills in one or more modern languages commonly used for backend development (e.g., Java, Python, Node.js, Go, or similar).
- Hands-on experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns applied to real-world projects.
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, query optimization, and data modeling.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development practices.
- Understanding of security best practices, performance optimization, and scalable system design.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work on-site in San Francisco, CA, collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams, and communicate technical concepts clearly.
