About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineer to join our dynamic development team at Indium. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in backend development, with expertise in building and maintaining API endpoints, working with cloud services, and implementing robust logging and monitoring solutions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects that impact our clients' digital infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing scalable APIs, ensuring seamless integration with various platforms, and maintaining high standards of code quality and system performance.
Qualifications
- Experience of 10+ years in software development, with a focus on backend systems and API development.
- Proficiency in mandatory programming skills, including Python and relevant frameworks such as Flask, Django, or FastAPI.
- Hands-on experience with Datadog, API endpoint creation, and monitoring tools.
- Knowledge of asynchronous programming using Asynch.io or equivalent frameworks.
- Familiarity with logging libraries and integrating them with Datadog for effective monitoring.
- Understanding of data manipulation libraries such as NumPy and Pandas (preferred but optional).
- Basic knowledge of databases like Postgres and MongoDB.
- Experience working with cloud storage solutions such as S3 and AWS (preferred but optional).
- Proficiency in API management tools like Postman or Mulesoft.
- Knowledge of gRPC (optional) and API versioning strategies.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
- Strong problem-solving aptitude and analytical mindset with great business sense.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure API endpoints using Python frameworks such as Flask, Django, or FastAPI.
- Implement asynchronous programming techniques to optimize system performance and responsiveness.
- Integrate logging libraries with Datadog for real-time monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, frontend developers, and DevOps to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to ensure code quality and maintainability.
- Work with cloud services such as AWS S3 for storage solutions and manage deployment pipelines.
- Utilize API management tools to streamline API lifecycle management and documentation.
- Identify and resolve technical issues promptly, employing analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices to continually enhance system architecture.
- Contribute to the development of technical standards, best practices, and internal documentation.
