Role Overview
We are building a next-generation 3D Digital Twin platform that enables real-time simulation, data integration, and intelligent automation for Industry 4.0.
We’re looking for a Backend Lead who can architect and scale the core platform powering real-time data pipelines, simulation orchestration, and multi-tenant systems.
This is a hands-on leadership role — combining system design, performance engineering, and team ownership.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and own scalable backend architecture for high-performance applications
- Build and manage microservices-based systems for simulation, asset management, and real-time control
- Develop real-time data pipelines (IoT / IIoT ingestion, processing, streaming)
- Architect APIs for:
- 3D scene & asset management
- Simulation control
- User collaboration & access control
- Optimize high-throughput systems (low latency, high concurrency)
- Lead database design:
- Time-series data (sensor streams)
- Graph relationships (asset connections, pipelines)
- Large file handling (GLTF / binaries)
- Implement event-driven architecture (Kafka / MQTT / queues)
- Ensure security, reliability, and observability (logs, metrics, tracing)
- Work closely with:
- Frontend (Three.js / WebGL)
- Simulation & AI teams
- DevOps / Infra
Tech Stack (Expected Expertise)
- Languages: TypeScript (Node.js), Python, or Go
- Backend Frameworks: NestJS / Express / FastAPI
- Databases:
- MongoDB / PostgreSQL
- Neo4j (graph-based relationships)
- Redis (caching / pub-sub)
- Streaming & Messaging: Kafka / MQTT / RabbitMQ
- File Storage: GridFS / S3-compatible systems
- Architecture:
- Microservices
- Event-driven systems
- API Gateway
- DevOps Awareness: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD
Nice to Have
- Experience with Digital Twin / IoT / Industrial systems
- Knowledge of protocols:
- OPC-UA
- Modbus
- IEC standards
- Experience with real-time simulation systems
- Familiarity with 3D data pipelines (GLTF, CAD)
- Exposure to AI/ML pipelines or RAG systems

- Lead and mentor backend team
- Drive architecture decisions & code quality
- Establish best practices, standards, and review processes
- Collaborate with product team on scalable roadmap design
- Own delivery timelines and technical execution
