About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Backend Developer to join our fully remote team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems that support our dynamic SMS marketing platform. Your expertise will be vital in creating high-performance APIs, optimizing database performance, and deploying applications on cloud infrastructure. Additionally, you will leverage AI tools to automate and enhance the development process, contributing to our culture of innovation and continuous improvement. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of AI-driven development practices, making a tangible impact on our product and customer experience.
Qualifications
- 4 to 7 years of professional experience in backend development
- Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot framework
- Strong understanding of SQL and database optimization techniques
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, SNS, and SQS
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub and Jenkins
- Interest or experience in AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or Lovable
- Proven experience working remotely and managing cross-functional teams
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain backend functionalities using Java and Spring Boot to ensure scalability and reliability
- Design and optimize database schemas to support high-volume data transactions and retrieval
- Deploy and manage cloud-based applications on AWS, utilizing services such as EC2, S3, RDS, SNS, and SQS for seamless operation
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline code integration, testing, and deployment processes
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, testing, and deployment cycles
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, frontend developers, and data scientists to deliver impactful features
- Participate in code reviews, provide technical guidance, and continuously seek opportunities for process improvement
