About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Backend Developer to join our fully remote team. In this role, you will play a critical part in developing and maintaining our scalable backend systems that serve as the backbone of our SMS marketing platform. Your expertise will contribute to building high-performance APIs, optimizing database performance, and deploying applications on cloud infrastructure. Additionally, you will leverage AI tools and automation practices to accelerate development cycles, improve code quality, and drive innovation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of AI-driven development, collaborating with a talented team to deliver impactful solutions that revolutionize customer engagement for businesses worldwide.
Qualifications
- 4 to 7 years of professional experience in backend development, with a proven track record of delivering scalable and reliable systems.
- Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot for building robust backend applications.
- Experience with designing, optimizing, and managing databases using SQL.
- Hands-on experience deploying and managing applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS), including EC2, S3, RDS, SNS, and SQS.
- Knowledge of or interest in AI-based development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, and Lovable.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, particularly with GitHub and Jenkins.
- Experience working remotely, with excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive attitude towards learning new technologies and a passion for innovation.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain backend functionalities using Java and Spring Boot frameworks to ensure high performance and scalability.
- Design and optimize database schemas to support efficient data retrieval and storage.
- Deploy, monitor, and manage cloud-based applications on AWS, ensuring reliability and security.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline development and deployment processes.
- Utilize AI-assisted development tools to enhance coding efficiency, automate testing, and improve overall software quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, frontend developers, and AI specialists, to deliver innovative features and enhancements.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and documentation to promote best practices and knowledge sharing.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve our platform and development practices.
