About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Backend Developer to join our fully remote team at Textellent, Inc. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of our platform by building scalable, high-performance backend systems. As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust APIs, managing databases, and deploying applications on cloud infrastructure. Your expertise will facilitate the automation and optimization of development workflows through the integration of AI-powered development tools. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 4-7 years of experience in backend development, demonstrating a strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and SQL. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, SNS, and SQS, is essential. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like GitHub and Jenkins is required to ensure streamlined deployment processes. Additionally, a keen interest or experience in AI-based development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or Lovable will be highly advantageous. Excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and experience working in remote teams are critical to thriving in this role. Candidates should demonstrate a proactive attitude towards learning new technologies and a passion for innovation in backend development.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance backend functionalities using Java and Spring Boot frameworks to ensure scalable and efficient system performance.
- Design, optimize, and manage relational databases with SQL to support application data needs and ensure data integrity.
- Deploy, monitor, and manage applications on AWS cloud infrastructure, utilizing services such as EC2, S3, RDS, SNS, and SQS for scalable and reliable deployment.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitHub and Jenkins to facilitate continuous integration, testing, and deployment processes.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, testing, and deployment cycles, ensuring rapid delivery of high-quality features.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including product managers, frontend developers, and QA specialists to deliver impactful features aligned with business goals.
- Participate in code reviews, provide mentorship, and contribute to best practices to maintain high standards of code quality and maintainability.
