Job Description – Backend Engineer (Scalable CMS/Real-Time Systems)
Onsite: Noida-62
CTC: 5-7 LPA
About the Role:
We are looking for a Backend Engineer with 2+ years of experience who can build and scale high-performance CMS and content delivery systems. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in designing scalable backend architectures, optimizing APIs and databases, handling high traffic systems, and building reliable distributed services.
This role requires someone who understands real-world scalability problems, not someone who has only built CRUD dashboards.
## Responsibilities
* Design and develop scalable backend services for a CMS platform
* Build secure, high-performance REST APIs and real-time systems
* Design database schemas optimized for high read/write workloads
* Implement caching, queueing, and asynchronous processing systems
* Optimize system performance, latency, and reliability
* Handle large-scale content management, publishing, and distribution workflows
* Work with microservices and distributed architectures
* Implement authentication, authorization, and role-based access systems
* Build fault-tolerant and horizontally scalable systems
* Monitor production systems and troubleshoot bottlenecks
* Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams
## Required Skills
* 2+ years of backend development experience
* Strong experience with Node.js and Express.js
* Strong understanding of scalable system design
* Experience with MongoDB and Redis
* Experience designing REST APIs
* Knowledge of WebSockets and event-driven architecture
* Experience with queues/streaming systems like Kafka or Redis Streams
* Understanding of database indexing, query optimization, and caching
* Experience with authentication systems (JWT/OAuth)
* Good understanding of concurrency and performance optimization
* Familiarity with Docker and cloud deployments
* Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
## Preferred Skills
* Experience building CMS platforms or admin panels
* Experience handling real-time systems
* Experience with distributed systems and horizontal scaling
* Knowledge of CDN optimization and media/content delivery
* Experience with rate limiting, API security, and load balancing
* Understanding of multi-tenant architectures
