Role Overview
We are looking for a Backend Engineer with 3+ years of experience to design, build, and scale robust backend systems and APIs. You will work closely with frontend and product teams to deliver high-performance, reliable, and secure services that power our platform.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs
• Build RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs using Node.js and Python
• Work on system architecture, data modeling, and performance optimization
• Collaborate with frontend teams (React, Next.js) to deliver seamless integrations
• Manage and optimize SQL and NoSQL databases ensuring data integrity
• Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices
• Deploy and manage backend services on AWS
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot production issues
Required Skills
• 2.5+ years of experience in backend development
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and/or Python
• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs
• Hands-on experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB
• Working knowledge of React, Next.js, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Experience with AWS and version control systems (Git)
• Solid understanding of scalability, performance optimization, and system design principles
Good to Have
• Experience with GraphQL
• Strong understanding of API design patterns and best practices
• Familiarity with data modeling and query optimization
• Experience building high-throughput or low-latency systems
• Exposure to domain-driven design (DDD) or clean architecture
• Understanding of data security and compliance concepts
