About the Role
We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer for RouteMax product in our Bengaluru office. RouteMax is a real time system for end to end pickup and delivery optimization for trucking companies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs while ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services using Node.js and C# (.NET Core/.NET Framework)
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices
- Write efficient, optimized, and reusable SQL queries, stored procedures, and database schemas
- Work with relational databases such as SQL Server/ MySQL/ PostgreSQL
- Collaborate with Frontend developers, QA engineers, and Product teams
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems
- Participate in code reviews and follow coding standards
Required Qualifications
- B.Tech/ B.S. or M.Tech/ M.S. or equivalent in Computer Science, IT, or related field with 2-5 years of experience
- Strong experience with Node.js (Express preferred)
- Strong experience with C# and .NET Core/ASP.NET Core
- Solid understanding of SQL and relational database design
- Experience writing complex queries, joins, indexes, and performance tuning
- Understanding of RESTful API design principles
- Familiarity with version control tools (Git)
- Knowledge of OOP concepts and design patterns
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms (Azure/AWS preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with microservices architecture
- Knowledge of Docker and containerization
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with message queues (Azure Service Bus, Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.)
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
