Power BI Report Developer
We are seeking an experienced Power BI Report Developer to design, build, and optimize enterprise-grade reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions. This role focuses on advanced Power BI development, data modeling, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities using Copilot and agentic workflows. You will work closely with Finance and business stakeholders to deliver standardized, automated, and insight-driven reporting that supports data-driven decision-making.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys translating business requirements into scalable analytics solutions, leveraging AI to accelerate development, and driving reporting automation in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
1 .Power BI Reporting & Analytics Delivery
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and standardized templates aligned with business requirements.
- Re-engineer and automate existing reports to eliminate manual effort and improve efficiency.
- Deliver actionable insights through advanced visualizations, KPIs, and analytical storytelling.
- Data Modeling & Performance Optimization
- Design and manage STAR schema data models, including fact and dimension tables, and define efficient relationships.
- Optimize data models, DAX calculations, and report performance to support large-scale analytics.
- AI-Enabled Development & Automation
- Leverage Power BI Copilot to accelerate development, including DAX generation, model summaries, and logic explanations.
- Build agentic workflows using Copilot Studio to automate multi-step processes such as data ingestion, report publishing, and data quality checks.
- Integrate Power BI with databases, APIs, and other BI tools to support end-to-end analytics solutions.
- Stakeholder Collaboration & Governance
- Partner with business leaders and managers as the primary reporting contact for assigned stakeholders.
- Develop new metrics and reports to meet evolving business needs.
- Ensure responsible AI usage, data governance, and compliance across AI-assisted analytics workflows.
Skills
- 2-3 years of hands-on experience developing complex Paginated reports in Power BI Report Builder or SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
- Proven track record of delivering production-ready reports with complex layouts, parameters, and data structures.
- 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in Power BI report and dashboard development, including advanced data visualization, KPI design, and analytical storytelling.
- Strong expertise in data modeling concepts, including STAR schema design (fact and dimension tables), relationships, and performance optimization.
- Proficiency in DAX, SQL, and Power BI data transformations, with the ability to optimize calculations and improve report performance at scale.
- Hands-on experience leveraging Power BI Copilot for AI-assisted development, including DAX generation, model summarization, and logic explanations.
- Experience building and managing automated and agentic workflows using Copilot Studio, Power BI APIs, or similar tools for report publishing, data ingestion, and data quality checks.
- Ability to integrate Power BI with databases, APIs, and other BI or data platforms to deliver end-to-end analytics solutions.
- Strong understanding of data governance, responsible AI usage, security, and compliance in enterprise reporting environments.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with proven experience working closely with Finance and business stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable insights.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
