Role Overview
We are hiring a senior AI-focused backend engineer to architect and scale intelligent systems. This role requires strong system design capabilities, production LLM integration experience, and expertise in building autonomous agentic workflows.
This is a system-level engineering role with ownership across architecture, performance, and reliability.
Core Responsibilities
AI Systems Agent Architecture
Design and build autonomous AI agents using CrewAI, LangGraph, or similar orchestration frameworks
Architect multi-step reasoning and tool-calling workflows
Implement guardrails and structured output validation
Design evaluation pipelines for LLM systems
Optimize latency, token usage, and cost
System Design Architecture
Design scalable, async-first backend systems
Apply architectural patterns such as Outbox Pattern, idempotent processing, and event-driven design
Design distributed task execution workflows
Ensure system scalability and fault tolerance
Performance Profiling
Profile Python services using py-spy, cProfile, and memory profiling tools
Diagnose CPU-bound vs I/O-bound bottlenecks
Optimize concurrency and async execution models
Perform advanced PostgreSQL performance tuning
Monitoring Reliability
Implement logging, monitoring, and observability systems
Design retry strategies, backoff mechanisms, and failure recovery
Ensure production stability of AI-driven pipelines
Infrastructure Deployment
Containerize services using Docker
Deploy and manage services with Kubernetes
Build robust CI/CD pipelines
Work with AWS or GCP infrastructure
Required Skills
2+ years backend engineering experience
Strong Python expertise (FastAPI/Django preferred)
Production experience with LLM integrations
Deep understanding of system design fundamentals
Hands-on experience with CrewAI, LangGraph, or equivalent frameworks
Experience implementing Outbox pattern or event-driven systems
Strong debugging and profiling skills (py-spy or similar tools)
Experience designing monitoring and observability pipelines
Strong PostgreSQL query optimization expertise
Preferred
Experience with distributed task queues (Celery, Kafka, etc.)
Experience building AI-native platforms
Familiarity with advanced scraping infrastructure
Strong understanding of scalability and reliability engineering
