Role Description
This is a contract, on-site position located in Mumbai for a Backend Engineer. The Backend Engineer will develop, test, and maintain server-side applications and APIs. Responsibilities include optimizing server performance, integrating third-party services, collaborating with a cross-functional team, and ensuring secure and scalable solutions. The role includes debugging and resolving data flow issues to meet technical and business needs.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in server-side programming languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js
- Experience with database management systems, including SQL and NoSQL
- Strong understanding of API design and development (RESTful services)
- Knowledge of cloud technologies and platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and Agile development methodologies
- Experience with application security and implementing secure coding practices
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Prior experience in backend development within consulting or IT service environments is a plus
