About The Role
As the founding backend engineer at LocalOps Inc, you will play a critical role in architecting and building the core platform engine that powers deployment workflows across multiple cloud providers. You will be responsible for designing scalable, reliable, and automated systems that streamline environment provisioning, orchestration, and runtime management. This is a unique opportunity to shape the technical foundation of our products, influence product strategy based on customer feedback, and work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, production-grade features. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and reliability of our clients’ cloud operations, making this role both challenging and highly rewarding.
Qualifications
We are seeking candidates with a strong background in backend development, ideally with 3-4 years of experience in Go and/or NodeJS/TypeScript. Candidates should have hands-on experience working with relational databases such as Postgres or similar systems. A solid understanding of AWS services, cloud networking, and system design principles is essential. Familiarity with containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code is required, along with experience working on Kubernetes clusters. Experience with Terraform or Pulumi for infrastructure provisioning is highly desirable. Candidates should be comfortable deploying, operating, and maintaining production systems in complex cloud environments.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop distributed backend services, APIs, and workflow engines to support multi-cloud deployment automation.
- Architect infrastructure automation layers, ensuring scalability and high availability of deployment pipelines.
- Integrate various cloud services such as AWS ECS/EKS, Lambda, VPC, and IAM to enhance platform capabilities.
- Rapidly ship production-critical features, maintaining high reliability and performance standards.
- Write clean, well-tested code while collaborating closely with full-stack and support engineering teams.
- Influence product development by incorporating customer feedback and industry best practices.
