CodeRound AI is seeking a highly skilled Backend Engineer with 2-5 years of experience to join their dynamic team. As a Backend Engineer, you will play a vital role in designing and scaling the core infrastructure that powers AI-driven content generation workflows utilized by over 30,000 teams worldwide. You will work on developing high-performance APIs, distributed systems, and data pipelines that process video, transcription, and AI inference workloads at scale. This position is ideal for engineers passionate about building robust backend systems, solving scalability challenges, and thriving in a fast-paced startup environment.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess a minimum of 2 years of experience building and operating production-level backend systems. Proficiency in Go or Python is essential, along with hands-on experience working with MongoDB and strong database design principles. Familiarity with cloud infrastructure providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is required. A solid understanding of distributed systems fundamentals is necessary, and prior startup experience is preferred. Exposure to AI-driven automation workflows will be considered a plus, demonstrating the candidate's ability to adapt to innovative AI solutions and contribute to cutting-edge projects.
Responsibilities
Design and develop scalable APIs and microservices using Go and Python, ensuring they are reliable and maintainable to support content generation pipelines.
Build and maintain robust backend systems that facilitate high-volume content processing workflows, including video processing and transcription tasks.
Own features from initial design through deployment, ensuring seamless integration and performance optimization.
Architect and optimize data pipelines for efficient video processing, transcription, and AI inference workloads, ensuring systems can handle high throughput with low latency.
Develop and maintain integrations with third-party platforms such as Confluence, Notion, and Google Docs by designing clean and efficient APIs for seamless connectivity.
Ensure the high performance, reliability, and scalability of backend systems serving over 30,000 teams, implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting for production-grade reliability.
Debug and resolve production issues promptly, continuously improving system robustness and performance.
Deploy and manage cloud-based services on AWS, GCP, or Azure, leveraging containerized deployments and distributed systems architectures.
Contribute to architectural decisions related to scaling backend infrastructure, ensuring the platform can grow efficiently with increasing demand.
