About The Role
We are seeking a talented Backend Engineer to join our Pune-based engineering team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining the core server-side systems that power VoiseTech’s sophisticated adtech platform. Your work will revolve around building robust ad serving logic, implementing real-time auction mechanics, processing bidstreams, and integrating APIs with various SSPs and DSPs. This position offers a high level of ownership and technical scope from day one, providing an exciting opportunity to influence the architecture and performance of our platform.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, and possess a passion for building scalable, reliable backend systems. This role is vital to our mission of delivering seamless, real-time advertising solutions on a global scale, and you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure end-to-end system delivery and performance.
Qualifications
The successful candidate should hold a B.E. or B.Tech degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A strong foundation in software engineering principles, data structures, and algorithms is essential. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Java, Go, Python, or Node.js.
Additionally, familiarity with designing and developing RESTful and GraphQL APIs, experience with distributed systems, message brokers like Kafka or RabbitMQ, and caching technologies such as Redis is required. Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL and MongoDB, is also important. Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS, along with containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes, will be advantageous. Familiarity with real-time bidding (RTB), OpenRTB, or SSP/DSP architecture is considered a plus but is not mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs that support VoiseTech’s advertising platform.
- Create and optimize real-time data pipelines and bidstream processing systems to handle millions of ad decisions daily.
- Integrate with third-party adtech platforms, data providers, and other external systems to ensure seamless data flow and functionality.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-tested production code adhering to best practices and standards.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and QA teams to ensure smooth end-to-end system delivery.
- Participate in code reviews, system design discussions, and troubleshooting to maintain high-quality software output.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve platform performance and scalability.
