Backend Developer (Node.js / NestJS / MongoDB)
We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer with strong expertise in Node.js, JavaScript, NestJS, and MongoDB. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-learner with excellent communication skills and a passion for building scalable, high-performance backend systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.js and NestJS
- Build and optimize MongoDB schemas and queries for performance and scalability
- Develop and manage RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
- Ensure system performance, scalability, and security best practices
- Write unit and integration tests using Jest / Mocha / Chai
- Collaborate with frontend teams, designers, and stakeholders
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues
- Maintain clean, modular, and well-documented code
- Stay current with evolving backend technologies and frameworks
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of experience with:
- Node.js & JavaScript
- NestJS framework
- MongoDB
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture
- Experience with API Gateway concepts and implementations
- Familiarity with authentication & authorization (JWT, OAuth)
- Proficiency with Git and version control workflows
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Ability to work independently and take ownership
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Good to Have
- Experience with:
- Docker / Kubernetes (containerization)
- CI/CD pipelines
- Messaging systems: RabbitMQ, Kafka, BullMQ
- Redis (caching)
- GraphQL / gRPC
