About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer to join our fully remote team at Textellent, Inc. This role is pivotal in developing and maintaining scalable, high-performance backend systems that support our SMS marketing automation platform. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and cloud technologies to build robust APIs and backend functionalities. Additionally, you will play a key role in integrating AI-driven development tools to optimize workflows, automate processes, and accelerate delivery. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 4 to 7 years of experience in backend development, demonstrating a solid understanding of Java and Spring Boot frameworks. Proficiency in designing, developing, and maintaining SQL databases is essential, along with hands-on experience deploying and managing applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS), including services like EC2, S3, RDS, SNS, and SQS. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, particularly using GitHub and Jenkins, is required. Additionally, candidates should have an interest or experience with AI-based development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or Lovable, to enhance productivity and code quality. Strong communication, collaboration skills, and experience working remotely are also important to succeed in this role.
Responsibilities

You will design and optimize databases to ensure efficient data management and retrieval. Deploying and managing applications on AWS cloud infrastructure will be a core part of your role, ensuring high availability and scalability. You will implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub and Jenkins to streamline development and deployment processes. Additionally, you will utilize AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, testing, and deployment, ensuring rapid iteration and continuous improvement. Collaboration with cross-functional teams—including product managers, frontend developers, and data scientists—is vital to delivering impactful features that meet client needs and enhance platform capabilities. You will also be expected to stay updated with emerging technologies and contribute innovative ideas to improve our development practices and product offerings.
