Role Description
This is a contract Backend Developer Intern role specializing in Node.js and Generative AI technologies. The intern will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing backend systems and APIs. Additional duties include implementing scalable solutions, collaborating with the product and engineering teams, and integrating generative AI models with back-end applications. This is a hybrid role based in India, offering flexibility for a combination of on-site and remote work.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Back-End Web Development and Software Development
- Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles
- Familiarity with Front-End Development and basic understanding of its interaction with back-end systems
- Solid experience with Programming, particularly using JavaScript and Node.js
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn and adapt to new AI technologies, including Generative AI
- Experience with database management and API integration is a plus
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Proficiency in Node.js and Express
- Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases
- Basic understanding of GenAI / ML pipelines and backend integration
- Familiarity with REST or GraphQL APIs
- Understanding of deployment, monitoring, and logging tools (preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment
Key Responsibilities:
• Build and maintain backend services using Node.js + Express
• Design scalable data models and integrate with MongoDB
• Implement GenAI backend workflows (embedding stores, prompt handling, inference pipelines)
• Develop and document REST / GraphQL APIs
• Ensure code quality, security, scalability, and performance
• Support deployment processes, CI/CD, logging, and monitoring
• Collaborate in an agile development environment
Internship details:
• Duration: 3 months initially
• Stipend: ₹4,000 per month
• Performance-based increase during internship
• High performers may receive a full-time offer at completion
