About The Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Backend Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and deployment of backend services and APIs that power our web applications and software solutions. You will primarily work with Node.js to build scalable and secure server-side components, leveraging AWS cloud services for infrastructure management and deployment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be involved in innovative projects that impact the battery industry, collaborating closely with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and product managers to deliver high-quality solutions from conception to deployment and ongoing enhancement.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess a strong educational background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, preferably from Tier 1 or Tier 2 universities. Candidates with up to 1 year of hands-on experience in backend development using Node.js in production environments are encouraged to apply, especially those familiar with microservices architecture. Essential technical skills include proficiency in backend development frameworks such as Express.js or Nest.js, experience working with databases like DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB, and familiarity with infrastructure technologies such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, Redis, and ElasticSearch. Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes is required. Additionally, experience with CI/CD pipelines, AWS cloud services (including S3, Cognito, API Gateway), and testing frameworks like Jest is highly valued. Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication skills are critical. Knowledge of front-end technologies like React is a plus but not mandatory.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of key activities, including:
- Developing new features and enhancements for our web platform, ensuring optimal performance and responsiveness.
- Architecting and implementing robust backend services, APIs, and server-side logic to support our products.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including UX/UI designers and product managers, to deliver seamless user experiences.
- Conducting code reviews to maintain high-quality code standards across the backend codebase.
- Troubleshooting and debugging complex issues to improve application stability and performance.
- Staying informed about emerging technologies and industry best practices to continually refine our tech stack.
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment, testing, and integration processes.
- Managing and optimizing AWS cloud infrastructure to ensure scalability, security, and high availability of our platforms.
- Mentoring junior developers, providing technical guidance, and supporting their professional growth.
