About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated Backend Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs that power our web applications and software solutions. You will primarily work with Node.js for server-side development and leverage AWS cloud services for deployment, infrastructure management, and scalability. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in backend development, a passion for building secure and efficient systems, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, DevOps, and product managers. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful projects in the clean energy sector, supporting innovative solutions that make a real difference in the industry.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with preference given to graduates from Tier 1 or Tier 2 universities. Candidates should have up to 1 year of hands-on experience in backend development using Node.js within production environments, with familiarity in microservices architecture. A strong understanding of server-side technologies such as Express.js or Nest.js is essential. Experience working with databases like DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB, and infrastructure tools such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, SQS, Redis, and ElasticSearch is required. Proficiency in containerization using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes is also necessary. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, AWS services (including S3, Cognito, API Gateway, ElasticSearch), and testing frameworks like Jest is highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities. Experience with front-end frameworks like React (Redux, React Router) is considered a plus.
Responsibilities
The core responsibilities for this role include contributing to the development of new features and enhancements for our web platform and backend systems, ensuring high performance, security, and responsiveness. You will architect and implement robust backend services, APIs, and server-side logic, collaborating closely with UX/UI designers and product managers to deliver seamless user experiences. Conducting code reviews and troubleshooting complex issues to optimize system performance will be part of your routine. Staying updated with emerging technologies and industry trends is vital for continuous improvement of our tech stack. You will also design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment and testing processes, ensuring efficient workflows. Managing and optimizing AWS cloud infrastructure for scalability, security, and high availability will be a key aspect of your role. Additionally, mentoring junior developers, providing technical guidance, and supporting their professional growth are important responsibilities to foster a collaborative team environment.
