About The Role
We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying backend services and APIs that power our web applications and software solutions. Your work will involve leveraging your expertise in Node.js and AWS cloud services to build scalable, secure, and efficient backend systems. You will collaborate closely with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and product managers to ensure seamless integration and delivery of features across the product lifecycle. Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with preference given to graduates from Tier 1 or Tier 2 universities. Candidates should have up to 1 year of hands-on experience in backend development using Node.js in production environments, with familiarity in microservices architecture. Strong proficiency in server-side technologies such as Express.js or Nest.js is essential. Experience working with databases like DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB, as well as infrastructure tools such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, SQS, Redis, and ElasticSearch, is highly desirable. Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes is required. Candidates should also have experience writing unit and integration tests using frameworks like Jest. Knowledge of AWS cloud services including S3, Cognito, API Gateway, and ElasticSearch will be advantageous. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication are critical. Experience in front-end development with React, Redux, and React Router is a plus but not mandatory.
Responsibilities
The core responsibilities of this role include contributing to the development of new features and enhancements for our web platform and backend systems, ensuring high performance and responsiveness. You will architect and implement robust backend services, APIs, and server-side logic to support our applications. Collaborating with cross-functional teams such as UX/UI designers and product managers, you will help deliver exceptional user experiences. Conducting thorough code reviews to maintain high code quality and troubleshoot complex issues to optimize application performance will be part of your duties. Staying updated with emerging technologies and industry trends is essential to continuously improve our tech stack. You will also be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment and testing processes, ensuring smooth and reliable releases. Managing and optimizing AWS cloud infrastructure for scalability, security, and high availability will be a key aspect of your role. Additionally, mentoring junior developers and providing guidance to support their professional growth will be expected.
