About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Backend Developer Intern with 1–2 years of experience to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining backend services that power our web applications. You will work closely with frontend developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to build scalable, secure, and high-performance systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, writing efficient backend logic, and learning modern backend technologies and development practices.

- Location - Newtown Rajarhat, Kolkata
- Working Days - Monday to Friday
- Office Timings - 9:30AM to 6PM
- Duration - 6 Months
- Stipend - Rs. 15,000/- Per Month
- Laptop will be provided by the company
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs for web applications.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs to support frontend and third-party integrations.
- Write clean, scalable, and maintainable backend code.
- Work with databases to design schemas, write queries, and optimize performance.
- Collaborate with frontend engineers and product teams to implement new features.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve backend issues and system bugs.
- Ensure application performance, security, and scalability.
- Participate in code reviews and follow established coding standards.
- Stay up to date with backend development best practices and technologies.
You Should Have
- Experience: 1–2 years of professional or internship experience in backend development.
- Languages: Proficiency in at least one backend language such as Python, Node.js (JavaScript/TypeScript).
- Frameworks: Experience with backend frameworks such as Django, Flask, Express.js or similar.
- APIs: Experience building or consuming RESTful APIs.
- Databases: Basic experience working with SQL (MySQL/PostgreSQL) or NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis).
- Version Control: Basic understanding of Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical thinking and debugging skills.
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Location: Must be able to work from our Kolkata office. This is a mandatory on-site role.
Education
- B.E/B.Tech/BCA/B.Sc/Masters in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- Strong academic foundation in programming and algorithms
