About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Backend Developer to join our engineering team as a Tech Lead. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead and contribute to the development of scalable, high-performance backend systems that power our Revenue Intelligence platform. As a Tech Lead, you will work closely with the founders, product managers, sales, and customer success teams to deliver innovative solutions that delight our customers. Your expertise will be vital in architecting and building robust infrastructure capable of handling enterprise-grade data processing and analytics. You will have the chance to influence technical strategy, improve existing systems, and mentor junior engineers, all while solving complex real-world problems in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in computer science or related fields, with a minimum of a bachelor's degree. You should have between 7 to 12 years of hands-on experience developing backend applications, particularly with Python, Django, and FastAPI. Proven experience in designing and implementing highly scalable and reliable systems is essential. Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments, RESTful API development, and database management with MongoDB and PostgreSQL is required. A solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and security best practices is also necessary. The candidate should demonstrate a high level of motivation to learn new technologies and continuously improve their skill set, along with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, efficient, and secure backend systems and APIs using Python, Django, and FastAPI.
- Create and optimize database schemas, queries, and data storage solutions in MongoDB and PostgreSQL to ensure high performance and reliability.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks in legacy codebases, implementing improvements to enhance system responsiveness and stability.
- Implement security measures, data protection protocols, and compliance standards to safeguard sensitive information.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define technical specifications, and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- Lead efforts in technical planning, code reviews, and documentation to ensure best practices and maintain code quality.
- Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, balancing technical excellence with business objectives.
- Mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of learning, innovation, and continuous improvement.
