About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Freelance/Contract Backend Developer to support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise-grade software applications at Education Dynamics, Inc. Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional experience in backend software development, demonstrating a strong technical foundation.
- Expertise in C#, .NET Framework, and .NET Core, with a solid understanding of backend architecture and distributed systems.
- Proven experience in designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Hands-on experience with modern AI-assisted software development tools and workflows to enhance productivity and code quality.
- Solid knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar technologies.
- Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure, including deployment and management of cloud-native applications.
- Proficiency with Docker and containerized deployment processes.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles and software engineering best practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments with minimal supervision, leveraging automation and AI tools.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills to effectively share technical solutions and standards.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using C# and .NET Core, ensuring they meet performance and security standards.
- Build and enhance RESTful APIs, backend services, and business logic layers to support frontend integrations and external systems.
- Utilize AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering workflows to improve productivity, testing, documentation, and code quality.
- Develop and optimize database structures, queries, and ORM implementations to ensure efficient data handling.
- Improve application performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability through continuous optimization and refactoring.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to support seamless application integrations and user experiences.
- Work closely with QA teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage, regression stability, and overall application quality.
- Leverage AI tools for debugging, code reviews, testing automation, and accelerating development cycles.
- Assist with CI/CD pipeline integration, deployment strategies, and best practices to streamline release processes.
- Participate in architecture discussions and technical planning to align development efforts with business goals.
- Document technical solutions, architectural decisions, and development standards using AI-enhanced workflows where appropriate.
- Identify potential technical risks and propose effective mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Support cloud-native and containerized environments using Docker and related technologies, ensuring smooth deployment and scaling.
- Contribute to security, authentication, and authorization implementations, including OAuth and JWT standards.
- Stay current with emerging AI technologies, software engineering trends, and backend development best practices to continually enhance skills and project outcomes.
