Hiring: Backend Engineer (Java | Spring Boot | AWS) – Contract Role
Location: Bengaluru (Hybrid – 2–3 days office at Varthur)
Duration: 6 Months
Shift: UK Shift
Experience: 6–8 Years
Overview
We are looking for a skilled Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and AWS to work on a large-scale content platform handling end-to-end media workflows. This is a fast-paced role suited for engineers experienced in cloud-native development environments.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend architecture and APIs
- Write clean, maintainable, and high-quality code
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and deliver features
- Build and consume RESTful APIs
- Debug, troubleshoot, and provide end-user support
- Ensure code quality, performance, and scalability
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
Must Have Skills
- Strong experience in Java (SE 12+)
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate
- Expertise in multithreading, Lambda, Streams, and functional programming
- Experience with AWS services (SQS, S3, Lambda, ECS, Parameter Store, Secrets Manager)
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Maven, and Gradle
- Experience with REST APIs and tools like Postman or Swagger
- Good understanding of MS SQL and database design
- Proficiency in Git or other version control systems
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
Nice To Have
- Experience in cloud-native development
- Understanding of secure application design and data protection
