The Role
We're looking for a Back-End Developer who also thinks in pipelines. You'll build and maintain the server-side systems powering our on-premise AI products, while owning the infrastructure and deployment workflows that keep those systems running reliably in sensitive, often isolated environments. This is a hands-on role: you'll write production code, design CI/CD pipelines, harden deployments, and collaborate closely with ML, security, and front-end teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain back-end services and APIs that power our AI inference and data pipelines
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment across on-premise and air-gapped environments
- Containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate workloads with Kubernetes or equivalent tools
- Implement infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible, or similar) to provision and manage secure, reproducible environments
- Monitor system health, performance, and security posture; own incident response and root-cause analysis
- Collaborate with ML engineers to integrate model-serving components into robust, scalable back-end systems
- Enforce secure coding practices, secrets management, and access controls in compliance with HIPAA and equivalent standards
- Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and reliability issues across the full stack
- Contribute to internal tooling, documentation, and architectural decisions
Core Skills
- Proficiency in Python, Go, Java, or Node.js; strong grasp of OOP, REST/gRPC API design, and data-intensive application patterns
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins — comfortable owning the full build-test-deploy loop
- Docker and Kubernetes (or alternatives like k3s or Nomad) — image optimization, health checks, multi-stage builds
- Infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, Ansible, Helm, or equivalent
- Secrets management (Vault, SOPS), RBAC, network policy, audit logging, and familiarity with HIPAA or similar compliance frameworks
- Observability tooling: logging (ELK, Loki), metrics (Prometheus, Grafana), alerting, and production troubleshooting
Nice to Have
Experience deploying AI/ML inference systems (TorchServe, Triton, ONNX Runtime); familiarity with air-gapped or disconnected deployment models; knowledge of model quantization or edge compute constraints; secure software supply chain practices (SBOM, image signing); exposure to front-end technologies for full-stack context.
Qualifications
- B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 1–4 years in back-end development; any DevOps or infrastructure experience is a strong plus
- Ownership mindset, strong debugging instincts, and clear written communication
- Ability to work on-site in Roorkee and collaborate effectively across teams
