Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Backend Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable backend systems, APIs, and databases that power our web and mobile applications. You will work closely with frontend developers, mobile developers, UI/UX designers, and DevOps engineers to build secure, high-performance, and reliable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend applications and RESTful APIs.
- Build scalable microservices and server-side applications.
- Develop and optimize database structures, queries, and stored procedures.
- Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, authentication services, and cloud services.
- Ensure application security, data protection, and compliance with industry standards.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code following best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues efficiently.
- Implement logging, monitoring, and error tracking mechanisms.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain high code quality standards.
- Deploy and maintain backend services on cloud platforms.
- Continuously improve backend architecture and development processes.
Required Skills
- Strong experience with Node.js, Express.js, or NestJS.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Experience with REST APIs and GraphQL.
- Strong understanding of authentication methods such as JWT and OAuth.
- Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Firebase).
- Knowledge of Redis, caching strategies, and message queues.
- Familiarity with Docker and containerized applications.
- Experience with Git and version control workflows.
- Understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and clean coding principles.
- Knowledge of API security, encryption, and secure coding practices.
- Experience working with AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 1–5+ years of backend development experience.
- Experience building scalable, high-traffic applications.
- Knowledge of WebSockets, Socket.IO, or real-time communication.
- Experience with unit testing and integration testing.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
