About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Adobe AEM Backend Developer to join our talented team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing scalable backend solutions within the Adobe Experience Manager platform. Your expertise will contribute to building robust backend components, OSGi services, and integrations that support our digital content management systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java and AEM architecture, with a keen eye for best practices and quality standards. Exposure to AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS) is preferred, as it will enable you to work on modern, cloud-native architectures. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects that impact the digital experiences of our clients across Pan India, with a hybrid work model that promotes flexibility and work-life balance.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, or an equivalent discipline. They should have 6 to 12 years of hands-on experience in Adobe AEM backend development, demonstrating a strong understanding of Java/J2EE technologies. Proficiency in working with OSGi, Apache Sling, and JCR is essential. Candidates should also have experience developing Sling Models, Servlets, and AEM workflows. Familiarity with REST API integrations, Git, and Maven is required. A solid understanding of AEM architecture, including Author, Publish, and Dispatcher, is necessary. Candidates with exposure to AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS), CI/CD pipelines, and performance tuning will have an added advantage.
Responsibilities
The core responsibilities for this role include designing and developing backend components using Adobe AEM, ensuring they are scalable and maintainable. You will be tasked with building and maintaining OSGi services, Sling Models, and Servlets to support content management and delivery. Developing and customizing AEM workflows to streamline content processes will be part of your duties. You will also work on integrating AEM with external systems using REST APIs, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability. Managing build and deployment processes, adhering to best practices, and conducting code reviews are critical aspects of the role. Collaborating closely with frontend teams, architects, and stakeholders is essential to deliver cohesive solutions. Additionally, you will troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and support production environments to ensure high availability and reliability of the systems.
