Role Description As a Back End Developer at ONGO, you will design, develop, and maintain server-side logic and APIs that power our AI-driven travel platform. You will work closely with product managers and front-end developers to implement scalable features, integrate third-party services, and ensure performant, secure data processing. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean, well-structured code, optimizing databases and application performance, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, and participating in code reviews and technical discussions. This is a full-time remote role, requiring proactive communication, collaboration across distributed teams, and a strong focus on building reliable services that support a seamless user experience.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Back-End Web Development and Software Development, with experience building and maintaining scalable, production-grade applications.
- Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and general Programming principles, including clean code practices, testing, and debugging.
- Familiarity with Front-End Development concepts to collaborate effectively on API design and integration with user-facing features.
- Experience with server-side frameworks, RESTful or GraphQL APIs, and relational or NoSQL databases.
- Understanding of security best practices, performance optimization, and cloud-based deployment environments.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, communicate clearly, and contribute to a collaborative, inclusive team culture.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Previous experience in travel, consumer products, or AI-driven platforms is a plus.
