Listenery is an AI platform that conducts user research interviews. The product enables organisations to run structured, conversational interviews with their users at scale and converts the resulting transcripts into research insights.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Backend Engineer position based in Koramangala, Bangalore. The Backend Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining server-side applications, services, and APIs that support the Listenery platform. Responsibilities include implementing backend features using Python and Django, developing real-time functionality using Django Channels and WebSockets, designing and maintaining REST APIs, integrating third-party services and APIs, managing database schema and query performance on PostgreSQL, and deploying and maintaining services using Docker. The role also includes participation in code review, debugging of production issues, and ongoing improvement of system reliability and performance.
Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of professional experience in backend development using Python
- Proficiency in Django and the Django ORM
- Experience with asynchronous Python, such as Django Channels, asyncio, or FastAPI
- Experience with WebSockets and real-time communication
- Experience designing and consuming REST APIs
- Working knowledge of PostgreSQL, including query optimisation
- Proficiency with Docker, Git, and Linux environments
- Desirable: experience with LLM API integration, Celery, Redis, or CI/CD pipelines
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
Compensation
₹8 to 11 LPA, commensurate with experience.
