Job Description:
We are seeking a versatile and highly skilled Backend Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for building end‑to‑end software solutions across both the back‑end of our applications. You will work closely with product, design, and engineering partners to translate business requirements into scalable, user‑friendly, and maintainable systems.
Job Responsibilities / Typical Day in the Role:
- The main function of a full stack developer is to design, develop, and implement applications using general languages and technologies (e.g. - C#, C++, HTML) to support business requirements.
- Analyze highly complex business requirements; generate technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high‑quality front‑end and back‑end applications.
- Implement clean, efficient, and well‑documented code using modern frameworks and languages.
- Build responsive, user-friendly interfaces and ensure consistent user experience across devices.
- Design, optimize, and manage relational and NoSQL database schemas.
- Write and optimize queries, stored procedures, and data access layers.
- Act as an expert technical resource for modelling, simulation and analysis efforts.
- Participate in architectural planning and system design discussions.
- Propose improvements in scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Contribute to technical decision‑making and solution design.
- Leverage industry best practices to design, test, implement and support a solution.
- Assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area.
- Work closely with product managers, designers, QA, and stakeholders to refine requirements and deliver features.
- Translate business needs into technical solutions and contribute to project planning.
Additional Insights:
- Multiple projects going on, want the ability to deploy the individuals to any project any time
Must Have Skills / Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in Back End Development (React, Node.JS, Python, Java, C#, etc)
- 5+ years of experience designing and implementing APIs
- 5+ years of experience with databased design and management (SQL, NoSQL, etc) including schema design and query optimization
Soft Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams
- Able to translate technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders
- Comfortable navigating fast‑changing environments and priorities
- Demonstrated ability to learn new tools, technologies, and processes quickly
Technology Requirements:
- React
- Java
Database Technologies
- ETL using Spark
- Oracle DB Experience (positive but not required)
- Experience working with big Data and ETL
