Role: Backend Engineer

What we're looking for
We are looking for engineers who enjoy building scalable backend systems and solving complex engineering problems.
A Backend Engineer at Hunar.AI will work closely with Product, AI, Frontend and Infrastructure teams to build highly scalable services, APIs and platforms that power our AI-first hiring products.
This is an ideal role for 3–5 years experienced engineers who enjoy designing systems, writing clean code and building reliable backend services that operate at scale.

- Design and develop scalable backend services and APIs.
- Build and maintain distributed systems that power Voice AI and hiring workflows.
- Design database schemas and optimize queries for performance.
- Collaborate with AI, Frontend and Product teams to deliver end-to-end features.
- Build integrations with third-party platforms and enterprise systems.
- Improve system reliability, observability and performance.
- Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code.
- Participate in architecture discussions and code reviews.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
- Contribute to engineering best practices around scalability, security and maintainability.
