About The Role
Join a cutting-edge team as we drive innovation in backend development! We are seeking a skilled Java Backend Developer to contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of high-performance server-side applications. In this role, you will be instrumental in building scalable, cloud-ready microservices that enhance user experiences across our digital platforms. Your expertise will help us develop robust REST APIs, implement event-driven integrations utilizing Kafka, and optimize data access layers with JPA/Hibernate and MySQL. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with modern technologies in a dynamic environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet evolving business needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture, with a passion for building reliable and efficient backend systems.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in backend development using Java 8+ and Spring Boot.
- Hands-on experience in designing and developing microservices with Spring Cloud components such as Eureka, Feign, and Config Server.
- Proficiency in building and consuming RESTful APIs, with a solid understanding of inter-service communication.
- Strong knowledge of JPA/Hibernate for ORM, along with expertise in MySQL database design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, JIRA, and best practices in unit testing using JUnit.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and code review processes.
- Understanding of security standards such as OAuth2 and JWT, along with API documentation tools like Swagger/OpenAPI.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy Spring Boot microservices with RESTful APIs, ensuring scalability and high availability.
- Implement inter-service communication mechanisms using Spring Cloud components like Feign, Eureka, and Load Balancer.
- Model and optimize data access layers using Spring Data JPA/Hibernate, tuning queries for performance and efficiency.
- Apply secure coding practices, including API security standards such as OAuth2 and JWT, as well as input validation and exception handling.
- Contribute to the continuous integration and deployment pipeline, writing unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and other Agile ceremonies to promote best practices and team collaboration.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, driving performance improvements and maintaining system reliability.
- Stay updated with the latest technological trends and incorporate innovative solutions to improve backend architecture.
