Backend Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable server-side applications and backend systems that power business platforms and digital products. Role focuses on building reliable APIs, optimizing system performance, and ensuring application scalability and operational efficiency.
This role requires strong backend development expertise, structured problem-solving capability, and the ability to work within modern engineering environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and application logic
- Build scalable microservices and system integrations aligned with business requirements
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following engineering best practices
- Work with relational and non-relational databases to optimize data management
- Collaborate with frontend, product, and engineering teams on feature implementation
- Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve backend-related production challenges
- Optimize systems for scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to backend engineering best practices
- Maintain technical documentation for APIs, workflows, and backend systems
- Support deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives

Core Competencies
- Strong proficiency in backend technologies such as Java, Python, Node.js, Go, or similar languages

- Strong understanding of databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis
- Familiarity with Git, development workflows, and debugging practices
- Understanding of system design, scalability, and distributed systems
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 3–6 years of experience in backend development or software engineering roles
Preferred Background
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized environments
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and backend deployment workflows
- Understanding of caching systems, messaging queues, and distributed architectures
