About The Role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Backend Engineer to join our team at Leveraged Growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in NestJS, Node.js, and TypeScript, with a passion for building scalable and high-performance backend services. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust APIs, leading backend architecture decisions, and developing real-time features utilizing WebSocket technologies such as Socket.io. You will collaborate closely with front-end developers working with React.js and Next.js, as well as mobile development teams focused on Android and iOS platforms. Additionally, you will mentor junior developers, ensuring best practices in coding, system design, and deployment are followed. Your expertise will be instrumental in delivering seamless, reliable, and efficient backend solutions that support our web and mobile applications, ultimately contributing to the growth and success of Leveraged Growth.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Candidates with relevant practical experience or recognized certifications in backend development will also be considered. You should have a proven track record working with NestJS, Node.js, and TypeScript, with a strong understanding of REST API design, GraphQL (optional), and backend architecture principles. Experience with real-time communication technologies like WebSocket (Socket.io) is essential. Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React.js and Next.js, along with proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and working with relational and non-relational databases like PostgreSQL, is required. Strong debugging and architectural skills, along with experience in version control systems such as Git, are necessary. Excellent communication skills and the ability to mentor and lead cross-functional teams are highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, high-performance backend services and APIs using NestJS, Node.js, and TypeScript to support web and mobile platforms.
- Create robust, modular architectures that facilitate seamless integration with frontend technologies like React.js and Next.js, as well as mobile applications on Android and iOS.
- Implement real-time features utilizing WebSocket (Socket.io) to enable cross-platform synchronization and instant data updates.
- Collaborate closely with front-end developers to ensure efficient API consumption and optimized user experiences.
- Partner with Android and iOS development teams to provide API-level support, ensuring consistent multi-platform functionality.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers, providing guidance on backend development best practices, system design, and code quality standards.
- Lead architectural planning and enforce coding standards to maintain a clean, maintainable, and scalable codebase.
- Conduct thorough code reviews, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to improve system stability and performance.
- Coordinate with DevOps teams to streamline deployment processes, implement CI/CD pipelines, and manage infrastructure effectively.
- Proactively identify system bottlenecks, bugs, and integration issues, and resolve them efficiently to ensure optimal system performance.
