Job Description: Content Marketing Manager
Role Overview
We are seeking a Content Marketing Manager to build a strong organic growth foundation through high quality content, SEO, and search led insights. This role will focus on creating authoritative content that improves search visibility, drives qualified inbound interest, and strengthens topical authority over time.
The ideal candidate combines strong content marketing expertise with hands on SEO knowledge, and has experience supporting or collaborating on performance marketing initiatives, particularly LinkedIn Ads and Google Ads, to amplify high intent content.
This role works closely with inhouse digital marketing team and a network of freelance contributors.
Key Responsibilities
Content Strategy & Creation, SEO & GEO
- Use tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, or equivalent platforms to identify content gaps, keyword opportunities, and search demand.
- Drive sustained organic traffic growth of 8–12% month over month through defensible keyword targeting and content depth.
- Conduct indepth keyword research (top of funnel, mid funnel, and problem aware queries) and implement strong onpage SEO practices, including internal linking, metadata optimization, semantic structure, and schema considerations where applicable.
- Optimize content for search engine visibility and generative engine optimization (GEO) by focusing on clarity, authority, and contextual relevance.
High Quality Content Creation
- Create and oversee longform, highintent content such as:
- Indepth blog articles
- Thought leadership posts
- Whitepapers, reports, and guides
- Customer case studies
- Ensure all content is usercentric, accessible, and inclusive, with strong editorial standards and consistent tone.
- Lead the production of 1 major longform asset per quarter, designed to support organic discovery and lead capture.
Content Optimization & Audits
- Conduct regular content audits to identify outdated, under performing, or overlapping content.
- Refresh and optimize existing pages to improve:
- Search rankings
- Engagement metrics (time on page, scroll depth, CTR from SERPs)
- Content accuracy and relevance
- Demonstrate measurable improvements across 20–30% of refreshed content within a defined optimization cycle.
Performance Marketing Alignment (Highly Preferred)
- Collaborate closely with performance marketers on:
- LinkedIn Ads (Sponsored Content, ABM campaigns)
- Google Ads (Search, Display, Sponsored Content)
- Develop content assets and landing page messaging optimized for paid traffic and high intent audiences.
- Use paid performance insights (CTR, keyword performance, audience engagement) to inform future organic content and SEO strategy.
- Candidates must have handson experience in at least one of the following:
- LinkedIn Ads
- Google Search Ads
- Google Sponsored / Display Content
Team & Collaboration
- Build and manage a small pool of freelance writers and designers, ensuring quality, consistency, and timely delivery.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers and developers to improve content presentation, site structure, and conversion friendly layouts (CTAs, blog templates, landing page structure).
- Manage the end-to-end case study creation process, coordinating with product teams and customers from ideation to publication.
Target KPIs:
- Organic traffic growth: 8–12% MoM (rolling quarterly average)
- Content sourced inbound leads (organic): minimum 15–30 per month
- Keyword visibility: Measurable ranking improvements for priority keywords within 3–6 months
- Content refresh impact: Improved rankings and engagement on at least 20–30% of optimized pages
- Long form assets: 3–4 high quality assets per year
Skills & Experience
Required
- 2 years of experience in B2B content marketing and multi modal search led growth
- Strong hands on expertise in content creation, editing, on/offpage & actionable SEO
- Proficiency with analytics and SEO tools (GA, GSC, Ahrefs, or similar)
- Experience managing freelancers or external contributors
Strongly Preferred
- Hands on experience with LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads, or Sponsored Content
- Ability to align organic content strategy with paid performance insights
- Experience working in growth stage B2B SaaS or enterprise technology environments
