About the company
Legend of Toys (LOT) is a full-stack D2C toys brand. We design and manufacture RC cars and drones where each product has a personality, a name and a backstory. We’re building a brand from India that competes on identity, not price. Our products aren’t just toys; they’re collector-grade, character-driven machines built to feel like they belong in a movie.
We’re now expanding offline in a serious way. Our goal is to build a strong presence across General Trade (GT) and Modern Trade (MT) channels across India, and to do that well we need someone who genuinely knows how the trade works, builds lasting relationships, and can make our products move off shelves.
The Role
This is a full-ownership, high-impact sales role. You’ll own LOT’s entire offline B2B business, building and managing relationships with GT distributors and MT buyers, driving channel revenue, and owning the P&L for the trade business. You’ll lead a team of three today and grow it as the business expands. You report directly to the Business Head and have a direct line to the people building this company. What you'll own
- Build, manage, and grow strong relationships with GT distributors, wholesalers, and MT buyers across key markets
- Own revenue targets for the GT and MT business and be accountable for hitting them
- Set payment processes and ensure adherence
- Identify new market opportunities, geographies, and trade formats where LOT can grow
- Reporting & Analytics
- Define territories, targets, and processes for the team as the business scales
- Hire and build the team as the offline business grows
What we are looking for
- 3+ years in B2B or trade sales, ideally within consumer products, FMCG, electronics, or lifestyle goods (or) recent MBA graduate with previous 1+ year of work experience
- Proven experience working within General Trade or Modern Trade channels
- Strong understanding of trade economics, margins, distributor management, and sell-through dynamics
- Comfortable with reporting and data, able to read sales numbers and act on them quickly
- Experience managing or mentoring a small sales team is a strong plus
