Role Description The B Tech Agri role at BABA AGRO INDUSTRIE is a full-time, hybrid position based in Coimbatore, with the flexibility to perform some responsibilities from home. Day-to-day tasks include supporting field operations, monitoring dealer performance, collecting and analyzing agronomic data, and assisting with implementation of best practices in soil, water, and crop management. The role involves coordinating with farmers, suppliers, and internal teams, preparing technical reports and documentation, and helping integrate agricultural technologies and tools. The professional in this role will contribute to process improvement, quality control, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards, while supporting ongoing projects and pilot initiatives.
Qualifications
- Solid foundation in agricultural engineering or agricultural science, preferably with a B.Tech in Agriculture or a closely related discipline.
- Knowledge of crop production, soil science, irrigation, and farm machinery operations, with the ability to apply these concepts in field and semi-field environments.
- Ability to collect, interpret, and present agronomic and operational data, including basic proficiency in spreadsheets and digital tools used for farm management.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with farmers, technical staff, and management, including clear report writing and documentation.
- Comfort with hybrid work arrangements, including readiness to travel locally for site visits and willingness to perform both fieldwork and office-based tasks.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and commitment to safety, sustainability, and compliance with relevant agricultural standards and regulations.
- Prior internship or project experience in agribusiness, farm advisory services, or agricultural research is an advantage.
