Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Business Development Manager - IT Services, based out of our office in Bengaluru. The individual will be responsible for identifying and generating new business opportunities in the IT services domain, developing and maintaining strong client relationships, and contributing to the creation and execution of sales strategies. Responsibilities also include conducting market research, preparing business proposals, and ensuring successful client onboarding while collaborating with internal teams to meet client requirements and objectives.


Pre‑Sales Consulting

  • Work closely with prospects to understand their business challenges, technical requirements, and digital transformation goals.
  • Create tailored solution presentations, demos, proof‑of‑concepts (POCs), and proposals for IT services (Cloud, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Application Development, Managed Services, etc.).
  • Collaborate with internal delivery, engineering, and product teams to design cost‑effective and scalable solutions.
  • Prepare RFP/RFI responses, technical documentation, and bid proposals.
  • Present technical solutions to CXOs, IT leaders, and client stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and positioning of solutions to strengthen proposal quality.

 

Business Development

  • Identify, prospect, and acquire new clients in targeted verticals (e.g., BFSI, Retail, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Technology).
  • Develop go‑to‑market (GTM) strategies to expand business in assigned regions or sectors.
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients, partners, and strategic alliances.
  • Achieve revenue targets, pipeline goals, and business growth objectives.
  • Conduct market research to track industry trends, customer behavior, and competitor offerings.
  • Drive lead generation through networking, events, outbound outreach, and partnerships.

 

Collaboration & Strategic Input

  • Partner with marketing to craft value propositions, case studies, and solution collateral.
  • Provide input for solution enhancements based on client feedback and market insights.
  • Support account teams in upselling and cross‑selling IT services to existing customers.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Business, or related field.
  • 5–8+ years of experience in Pre‑Sales, Business Development, or Solution Consulting in the IT services sector.
  • Strong understanding of IT solutions such as:
  • Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP)
  • Cybersecurity
  • Application Development & Modernization
  • Data & Analytics
  • Managed IT Services
  • Infrastructure Services
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and client‑facing skills.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications.
  • Experience preparing proposals, SOWs, RFIs, and RFPs.
  • Proven track record of meeting sales or revenue targets.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and consultative selling abilities.
