Company Description MBS School of Planning and Architecture in West Delhi is a dedicated institution for architectural education, established in 2009 by the ACME Educational Society. The college emphasizes a holistic approach, combining art, science, technology, socio-cultural heritage, and environmental values in its academic programs. Its lush green campus with a terracotta and glass crescent structure and specialized labs for computers, building construction and materials, climatology, surveying, and model workshops provides a strong practical and design-oriented environment. With an intake of 120 students per year and around 600 students overall, a team of more than 40 regular and about 10 visiting faculty members ensures rigorous training through theory, studio design, site visits, workshops, and hands-on practice. Role Description This full-time, on-site role in West Delhi is for faculty members at Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor levels in the Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) program. The role includes planning and delivering lectures, studio sessions, juries, and tutorials in core architectural subjects, design studios, and technical courses aligned with regulatory and institutional guidelines. Faculty members are expected to guide students in design development, research projects, model making, and use of laboratories and workshops, while promoting critical thinking and professional ethics. Responsibilities include curriculum development and review, evaluation of student work, academic mentoring, coordination of site visits, workshops, and guest lectures, and participation in departmental meetings and institutional committees. The role may also involve contributing to academic administration, research, publications, professional consultancy, and outreach activities that strengthen the college’s academic profile.
Qualifications
- Possess a recognized professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch) with a strong academic record; a Master’s degree in Architecture or allied fields is preferred for senior positions.
- Meet eligibility criteria as per regulatory bodies (e.g., Council of Architecture and relevant university norms) for Professor, Associate Professor, or Assistant Professor levels.
- Demonstrate experience in teaching architectural design studios, theory courses, and technical subjects, or strong potential for teaching for entry-level academic positions.
- Show proficiency in architectural design, drafting, and representation using conventional methods and digital tools (e.g., CAD, BIM, visualization and presentation software).
- Exhibit knowledge of building construction, materials, climatic design, environmental sustainability, and integration of these domains into design pedagogy.
- Have familiarity with research methods in architecture, urbanism, or allied disciplines, and an interest in publishing, presenting, or guiding student research.
