TITLE – ACADEMIC HEAD Roles & Responsibilities Academic Head is responsible to plan and execute Curriculum across all grades for Pre-Primary, Primary, Secondary, and Senior Secondary as per the CBSE Board guidelines. Is responsible to ensure smooth transition of Curriculum through regular training of Principals, Vice-Principals, HM, coordinators, and teachers to ensure effective and interesting teaching at schools. Preparing Academic Calendar before the beginning of the Academic Session. Planning number of Week wise, Month-wise implementation of Pre-Primary Curriculum. Preparing Period allocation for effective utilization of resources for Primary, Middle, Secondary, Senior Secondary. Teacher Training and Professional Development Identifying requirement of Teacher training programs on the effective utilization of resources, Learning Management System tools, and innovative teaching methodologies. Preparing the Academic Plan – with number of working days and Periods. Ensuring Class Display Boards are maintained as per the ongoing syllabus for each subject. Corridor Boards are maintained as the Monthly Theme of Character Development as mentioned in the Academic Planner. Learning Management System Academic Head is responsible for implementation of Academics according to the Learning Management System and CBSE Curriculum. Collaborate with the Schools and Learning Management System team to monitor and evaluate the usage of digital learning materials, ensuring their alignment with the curriculum and pedagogical goals. Ensuring Micro-Planning is conducted a week before Implementation of the Lesson plan for Grades I to VIII. Ensuring Learning Resources on the Learning Management system are well utilised. Academics Excellence Syllabus is followed as per the Academic Plan shared at the beginning of the Academic session with schools. Ensuring Portion completion of all Grades. SAMSIDH GROUP OF SCHOOLS Ensuring Assessments are conducted as planned for the Two Terms Tracking assessments are conducted as scheduled. Ensuring Results are prepared on time and Report Cards are shared with the stakeholders. Follow up of Competency-based curriculum Tracking usage of Cumulative quizzes, Practice quizzes, and Unit quizzes to track student progress and provide timely feedback for improvement. Follow up on Teachers Observation done - by Principal, Vice-Principal, Co-ordinators. Written work is completed in note books and Learning Resources as planned in the Academic planner. CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT Ensuring the Academic team at school plans Character Development activities as to be integrated in the Curriculum. Alignment with Character Development Curriculum Tracking of Pre-period activity, Avid reader, Value champs, Storytellers & Five Change maker clubs. Enrichment 1. Responsible to identify Ember students by conducting Beginning of Year Assessment (BOY ) before the Academic classes begin for the New Academic Year 2. Bridge course after every EBOY -Enrichment Beginning of Year Assessment 3. Responsible for the procurement, usage and maintenance of Enrichment levelled readers 4. Analysis of Student's Performance and maintaining remedial files. 5. Continuous learning plan to be monitored for Ember and Kindle student. 6. Weekly Tracking of Reading and writing enrichment programmes, and Spark learning programme. 7. Ensures Enrichment and Spark programme to be effectively executed and its Analysis done at the end of Academic Year. 8. Co-ordinate with the Pre-primary Headmistress regarding enrichment in Pre-primary. 9. Timely assessments to be conducted in Maths and English. 10. Observe the Enrichment classes [minimum of 10 observations in a month] 11. Observe and support in the upward movement of levels in children. - SAMSIDH GROUP OF SCHOOLS 12. Plan and execute the strategies according to the levels of comprehension (English) and concept understanding (Maths). 13. Support the class teachers in identifying the avid readers, storytellers, creative writers and math challengers. - Make sure all the Sparkle and Glow children are a part of the Olympiad exams PRE- PRIMARY Ensuring Pre-Primary Curriculum is followed as per the plan. Resources are available at school to conduct the activities. STEAM Activities are conducted as planned by the Content team. AUDIT AND QUALITY ASSURANCE Conducting regular Audit along with the team of Academic Managers. Slip test - Auditing if Slip Tests are conducted after completion of each chapter from Grades I onwards if conducted Auditing Learning Management System to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement in resource distribution and utilization, Conduct regular audits of curriculum materials, assessments, and teaching practices to ensure quality and consistency.
