Role OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Azure Integration Engineer to design, build, and maintain integration solutions around Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.
This role focuses heavily on data integration, middleware design, and system reliability, connecting D365 with multiple third-party systems using APIs, EDI, and file-based integrations.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop end-to-end integration solutions between D365 and external systems (warehouse, vendors, finance systems)
- Build and maintain API-based, file-based, and EDI integrations (X12/EDIFACT)
- Implement Azure Integration Services (AIS) solutions using Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and API Management
- Handle high-volume data processing (lakhs/millions of records) with optimized batching and chunking strategies
- Ensure idempotency, retry mechanisms, and fault tolerance in all integrations
- Design asynchronous and queue-based architectures using Service Bus (where applicable)
- Work with DMF (Data Management Framework) and OData APIs for D365 integration
- Implement secure API exposure (OAuth2, API keys, certificate-based auth)
- Set up and manage monitoring, alerting, and observability using Application Insights and Azure Monitor
- Integrate Azure monitoring with external APM tools (Datadog, Grafana, etc.) via webhooks
- Troubleshoot and optimize performance bottlenecks, latency, and system load issues
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and external partners
Required SkillsAzure Integration & Middleware- Azure Logic Apps (workflows, connectors, Integration Accounts)
- Azure Functions (C# / JavaScript / Python)
- Azure API Management (APIM)
- Azure Service Bus (queues, topics, DLQ) — strongly preferred
D365 F&O Integration- Experience with DMF (Data Management Framework)
- OData / Entity APIs
- Understanding of batch jobs, data entities, and ERP constraints
Integration Patterns- Event-driven and asynchronous architectures
- Queue-based load leveling
- Idempotency and duplicate handling
- Retry policies and dead-letter handling
EDI & File Integrations- EDIFACT / X12 message handling
- Integration Account (schemas, maps, validation)
- AS2/SFTP-based integrations (working knowledge)
API & Security- REST API design and integration
- OAuth 2.0 (Azure AD), API keys, mTLS
- Rate limiting, IP whitelisting
Monitoring & Reliability- Application Insights, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics
- Alerting via webhooks
- Experience with tools like Datadog/Grafana is a plus
Secondary Skills- Azure SQL / Table Storage (for idempotency & tracking)
- CI/CD using Azure DevOps
- Infrastructure-as-Code (Bicep/Terraform)
- Agile/Scrum experience
- Basic understanding of D365 functional flows (orders, inventory, finance)
Key Expectations- Strong focus on integration reliability and scalability
- Ability to handle peak loads and time-critical batch processing
- Experience working in cross-functional Agile squads
- Capability to design and evolve integration architecture (toward event-driven where needed)
What This Role Is NOT- Not frontend-heavy
- Minimal UI work
- Limited deep ERP customization
Nice to Have- Experience with warehouse/retail integrations
- Experience handling SLA-driven integrations (time-bound processing)
