Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Azure Integration Engineer with deep expertise in Azure API Management (APIM), Service Bus, and enterprise integration architecture.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on designing, building, and supporting secure, scalable API and messaging solutions within Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate has strong experience in API Gateway configuration, message-based integration, and production-grade cloud deployments.
This role requires strong execution capability, real-time integration experience, and familiarity with enterprise integration patterns.
Role Details
Location: Remote (Must overlap with MST hours)
Key Responsibilities
- API & Gateway Engineering
- Design and manage Azure API Management (APIM) policies including authentication, rate limiting, routing, transformation, and versioning.
- Implement secure API exposure using OAuth2, JWT validation, and managed identities.
- Configure backend API integrations and gateway routing strategies.
Messaging & Event-Driven Integration
- Design and implement integration solutions using Azure Service Bus (Queues and Topics).
- Implement retry logic, dead-lettering, idempotency, and message ordering strategies.
- Work with event-driven patterns using Event Grid and Azure Functions.
- Build asynchronous workflows and decoupled microservice integrations.
Integration Architecture
- Apply enterprise integration patterns (pub/sub, request-response, fan-out, circuit breaker).
- Design scalable, fault-tolerant integration layers.
- Collaborate with backend, data, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless API connectivity.
Security & DevOps
- Implement RBAC, Key Vault integration, and secure credential management.
- Participate in CI/CD pipelines for integration deployments.
- Support Dev/Test/Prod environment promotion and production troubleshooting.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in Azure cloud engineering or enterprise integration.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Azure API Management (APIM).
- Deep experience with Azure Service Bus (Queues & Topics).
- Experience designing secure API architectures (OAuth2, JWT, RBAC).
- Working knowledge of Azure Functions and Logic Apps.
- Experience supporting production environments and troubleshooting integration failures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Azure Data Factory or data ingestion workflows.
- Exposure to Databricks or analytics platforms.
- Azure certification (AZ-204, AZ-305, or similar).
- Experience in large enterprise or infrastructure environments.
