A high-growth organisation operating in the Cloud Data Engineering and Enterprise Analytics sector—building scalable, production-grade data platforms and real-time analytics solutions on Microsoft Azure for enterprise customers. We are hiring an on-site Azure Data Engineer to design, build, and operate resilient ETL/ELT pipelines and analytics-ready data layers to power BI, ML and operational reporting across India.

Role & Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain end-to-end ETL/ELT data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks to ingest, transform, and deliver analytics-ready datasets.
- Author and optimise Spark and SQL workloads for Azure Synapse Analytics and Databricks to meet SLAs for latency and throughput.
- Implement lakehouse patterns on ADLS Gen2 and Delta Lake: partitioning, compaction, schema evolution and data versioning.
- Develop CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation for data deployments using Azure DevOps and IaC best practices.
- Monitor pipeline health, troubleshoot production incidents, and implement observability (logging, metrics, alerting) to ensure reliability.
- Collaborate with data scientists, BI teams and platform engineers to translate business requirements into robust data models and governed datasets.
