About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Azure Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines utilizing Azure services. Your expertise will be pivotal in transforming raw data into meaningful insights, supporting data-driven decision-making processes for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in modern data engineering practices, with hands-on experience in Azure Data Factory, Databricks, PySpark, and SQL. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their data requirements, ensuring the delivery of efficient, reliable, and secure data solutions. Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess a solid educational background in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields. Proven professional experience as a Data Engineer, especially within the Azure cloud ecosystem, is essential. Candidates should demonstrate expertise in building and optimizing data pipelines, with a thorough understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL/ELT processes. Strong SQL skills and experience with distributed data processing frameworks such as Spark are required. Familiarity with modern data engineering tools, methodologies, and best practices is highly valued. Certifications in Azure Data Engineering or related technologies will be considered an advantage.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities for this role include designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks. You will implement data transformation workflows utilizing PySpark, working with both structured and unstructured data sources. Ensuring the performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency of data pipelines is critical, along with developing and managing Spark-based data processing frameworks. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and ensure data quality, governance, and security standards are upheld. Troubleshooting and resolving production issues promptly to minimize downtime is also part of your duties. Additionally, you will stay abreast of emerging data engineering trends and recommend innovative approaches to improve existing processes.
