We are looking for a Data Engineer with a strong background in Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric tools. In this role, you will be instrumental in implementing projects that involve collecting, aggregating, storing, reconciling, and making data accessible from diverse sources to support analysis, insights, and informed decision-making.
You will play a key role in the data supply chain, ensuring that stakeholders can efficiently access and manipulate data for both routine and ad hoc analysis. This includes supporting the end-to-end lifecycle of data—from ingestion to actionable insights.
Key ResponsibilitiesOn a day-to-day basis, you will:
- Translate business requirements into scalable, efficient technical solutions
- Support the planning and implementation of Azure-based data architectures
- Design, develop, and manage data pipelines and data transformation processes
- Ensure data quality, performance optimization, and monitoring of data systems
- Implement data storage and management strategies for both structured and unstructured data
- Apply data warehousing and modeling best practices
- Utilize T-SQL and other tools for data access and advanced analytics
- Leverage Power BI to enhance data visualization and reporting for stakeholders
Required Skills & Experience- Approximately 2 years of experience as a Data Engineer, with hands-on expertise in Azure and the Microsoft Fabric platform
- Proven experience with:
- Azure Synapse Analytics
- Azure Databricks (including Spark Notebook development with PySpark or Spark SQL)
- Azure Data Factory
- Azure Data Lake, Azure Stream Analytics
- Data warehousing and data modeling
- T-SQL for data modeling and advanced querying
- Ability to:
- Convert business requirements into technical design
- Conduct data profiling, cataloging, and mapping
- Build and optimize end-to-end data pipelines
- Familiarity with data quality frameworks, system maintenance, and performance tuning
- Working knowledge of Power BI for creating dashboards and data visualizations is a strong plus
Nice to Have- Experience or familiarity with Microsoft Fabric
- Background in creating end-user reporting solutions with Power BI
