About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Azure Technical Lead to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing cloud-based data solutions primarily on Microsoft Azure. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient technical architectures. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud development, data lake architecture, and data analytics, along with a strong background in scripting, data platform management, and DevOps practices. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead complex projects, drive technical standards, and contribute to the digital transformation initiatives of our clients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training.
- Overall 9-10 years of professional experience in relevant technology roles.
- At least 2-3 years in Azure technical leadership roles, focusing on designing and architecting cloud solutions, working with business teams to gather requirements, and establishing standards to meet evolving business needs.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with cloud development and data lake implementations, particularly on Microsoft Azure, including Azure EventHub, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure DevOps, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake, Azure Power Apps, and Power BI.
- Proven data analytics experience using SQL, with a strong understanding of data warehousing concepts.
- Development, administration, and support experience across various tools and platforms such as Pyspark, Python, Spark, Unix scripting, SQL, Teradata, Cassandra, MongoDB, Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake, and Azure Data Explorer.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jenkins, and Terraform.
- Knowledge of data governance and privacy tools including Informatica Axon, EDC, and BigID.
- Familiarity with orchestration tools like Azure Data Factory and Tivoli.
- Experience in designing solutions for real-time and batch processing jobs, with a focus on performance tuning and code optimization.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of cloud-based data solutions utilizing Microsoft Azure services, ensuring alignment with business requirements and best practices.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define technical specifications, and translate business needs into scalable architecture.
- Drive the development of data pipelines, data lakes, and analytics solutions using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and other relevant tools.
- Implement standards for data security, governance, and privacy, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and industry regulations.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Oversee the deployment, administration, and support of data platforms, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Optimize data processing jobs for performance and cost-efficiency, employing best practices in code development and tuning.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment and integration of data solutions using Azure DevOps, GitHub, and Terraform.
- Participate in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues related to data architecture, pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in cloud technologies and data analytics to recommend innovative solutions for business challenges.
