About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Azure Data Engineer to join our dynamic team remotely from India. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Microsoft Azure data services, cloud-based data engineering solutions, and modern reporting tools. This role involves leading complex technical projects, designing scalable and robust data architectures, and delivering actionable insights through advanced BI tools. The Senior Azure Data Engineer will work closely with Data Architects, Business Analysts, and Data Scientists to develop high-quality, reliable, and secure data products that enable advanced analytics and business intelligence. The position offers an excellent opportunity to work on innovative projects, leverage the latest cloud technologies, and contribute to digital transformation initiatives within a collaborative environment.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 8-12 years of experience in data engineering, with a strong background in Microsoft Azure cloud services. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields is preferred. Proven expertise in designing and implementing large-scale data pipelines, data modeling, and performance tuning is essential. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in SQL, PySpark, and data integration techniques involving on-premises and cloud sources. Excellent communication skills, client handling experience, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are also required. Familiarity with data governance, security standards such as GDPR and HIPAA, and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub will be advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end data engineering projects utilizing Microsoft Fabric, Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2.
- Design, build, and optimize lakehouse and data warehouse architectures following best practices for scalability and performance.
- Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes to support various data consumption needs.
- Establish and enforce data quality, data governance, and metadata management frameworks to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Create and optimize data models, including star schema, fact tables, and dimension tables, within the Microsoft cloud environment.
- Manage incremental loads, change data capture (CDC), and real-time streaming data pipelines.
- Ensure all data solutions adhere to security, privacy, and compliance standards such as GDPR and HIPAA.
- Design and develop dashboards and reports using Power BI and Azure Analysis Services to facilitate business decision-making.
- Work with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data to derive meaningful insights and support analytics initiatives.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub to streamline deployment and integration processes.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, developers, and analysts, to deliver impactful data solutions.
- Drive digital transformation and automate business processes leveraging Azure cloud services and Power Platform tools.
- Leverage artificial intelligence models, including large language models (LLMs) and NLP techniques, to enhance data querying and analysis capabilities.
- Mentor junior team members, foster knowledge sharing, and manage client communications to ensure project success and client satisfaction.
