About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with expertise in Microsoft Azure to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and solutions that support our organization’s data-driven decision-making processes. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, implement robust data architecture, and ensure the seamless integration of data sources. The successful candidate will be instrumental in optimizing data workflows, ensuring data quality, and enabling advanced analytics and reporting capabilities. Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 8+ years of experience in data engineering or a similar role. Candidates should have a strong educational background in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields; a Master’s degree is considered a plus. Essential technical skills include hands-on experience with MS Azure services such as Data Lake Storage, Data Factory, Databricks, HDInsight, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, Functions, Pyspark, and Python. Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, Scala, or R is required, along with a solid understanding of SQL database design and management. The candidate should demonstrate excellent numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data requirements into effective technical solutions. A good understanding of ETL processes is also essential. Certifications in Azure or related cloud technologies will be considered an advantage and demonstrate a commitment to professional growth in cloud data engineering.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure data pipelines and architectures on the Azure cloud platform.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Implement and optimize ETL processes to ensure high data quality, integrity, and availability for analytics and reporting.
- Manage and monitor data workflows, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance to ensure reliable data delivery.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to data architecture, pipelines, and processes to ensure transparency and knowledge sharing.
- Stay updated with the latest Azure cloud services and industry best practices to continuously improve data solutions.
- Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies, including data privacy regulations.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities to uphold quality standards.
